Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area preserves 33,000 acres of pastoral valley along 22 miles of the Cuyahoga River between the cities of Cleveland and Akron. It includes river floodplains, steep and gentle valley walls foreseted by deciduous and evergreen woods and numerous tributaries and their ravines.
