Park Details:
Today, the remnants of Fort Davis, a key post in the defense system of West Texas, are most extensive and impressive than any other southwestern fort. Troops who guarded immigrants, freighters and stagecoaches, and who contended with Comance and Apache Indians were based at this fort.
