Manassas National Battlefield Park commemorates 2 clashes between Northern and Southern troops. Nearly 900 men lost their lives in July, 1861 and another 3,300 died during the 3-day battle in August, 1862, which brought the Conferacy to the height of its power. The battles of Manassas are also known as the battles of Bull Run Creek.
