In the beginning was a struggle between British colonial authority and the people of Massachusetts. This struggle escalated to war on 20-mile long winding road into an all out battle. 73 British soldiers and 49 colonial militiamen died in this battle. This running battle covering Lexington and Concord Mass started the American Revolution
